Oil traders of Kyrgyzstan assure that there will be no fuel shortage during the spring field works. They said it to the State Agency of Antimonopoly Regulation.
Within the framework of the memorandum signed between the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation and the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan, some companies provide discounts for diesel fuel from 5 to 7 percent.
The prices for the fuel and lubricants are formed on the basis of the market mechanism. Legislation does not provide for direct government regulation, with the exception of price increases of 20 percent or more over a month. Antimonopoly Agency constantly monitors the situation in the fuel market, monitors retail prices in the regions, advises oil traders not to raise prices unreasonably.
Since early January, fuel has grown in price in Kyrgyzstan. Fuel and lubricants increased in price by an average 1 som.
