Human rights defenders, together with the lawyers’ association, have drawn up a list of judges who, in their opinion, are corrupt and fulfill political orders. The head of the Institute of Public Analysis Rita Karasartova stated today at a rally in support of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
According to her, the list of judges, who conducted the proceedings in relation to the media, were also included into the black list.
«We formed this list together with lawyers, who participated in the proceedings. We ask the head of state not to reappoint these judges, as they upheld the million claims against journalists and the media. These judges not only violated the law, but also did not comply with the ruling of the plenum of the Supreme Court. We want to hand over this list to the president of the country,» Rita Karasartova said.
The black list of corrupt and politically motivated authorities includes 23 judges of Pervomaisky, Oktyabrsky District Courts, as well as the Bishkek City and the Supreme Courts.
