In 2017, at least 404 schoolchildren were diagnosed with tuberculosis, including those with an open form, in Kyrgyzstan. The head of the National Center for Phthisiology Abdulaat Kadyrov announced today at the meeting of the Parliament.
According to him, 15-20 of the children diagnosed with tuberculosis last year had an open form of the disease. At the same time, physicians assure that the number of TB patients in Kyrgyzstan is decreasing from year to year.
«Every year, the patients’ markers fall. In 2016, there were 5,680 TB patients in the republic, and 5,570 — in 2017. The incidence and death rate are also decreasing,» said Abdulaat Kadyrov.
