Smart City in Kyrgyzstan. Cameras to recognize faces

«Within the framework of Smart City project we asked investors to switch on face recognition system,» Prime Minister Sapar Isakov said today at the final board meeting of the Bishkek City Administration.

«The control center will be designed for 20 people, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the State National Security Committee will work there. For example, a criminal offense is committed, a photo of a person is entered, and the system looks for him or her around the city! This is unique,» told Sapar Isakov.

He added that such video cameras would be installed in the center of the capital, shopping centers, markets, near schools.

«When the Smart City starts working, we will forbid traffic police to stand by the roadside. They will drive around the city by cars with cameras on them,» said Sapar Isakov.

Recall, officials promised that by the end of January the public would be able to assess the first results of the launch of Smart City project. However, there are still no cameras. The State Registration Service failed to voice the exact date of installation of the cameras for Smart City project.
