Bishkek has more than 5,000 unemployed

In Bishkek, the number of officially unemployed as of January 1, 2018 was 5,078 people. The First Vice Mayor of the city Renat Makenov presented such data today at the final board meeting.

According to him, the level of total unemployment in the capital was 7.7 percent, and on average in the republic — 7.2 percent.

In 2017, at least 14,490 jobs were created in the city.

The cost of living in 2017 was 4,901 soms increasing by 1.8 percent compared to 2016.
