Training parachute jumps from MI-8MTV helicopter from a height of 800 meters took place on the basis of the military unit 23565. The Information Support Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan reported.
As noted, the training jumps became the first in the last three years, which was the result of a change in the combat training program of the Air Defense Forces and the National Guard, which were in 2017 detached into certain types of troops in the framework of the military reform.
The operating staff of the Air Defense Force and the personnel of the special unit «Panther» of the National Guard performed the jumps. More than 60 servicemen were air dropped out of Mi-8MTV helicopter, 20 of them jumped for the first time.
According to the department, this year the parachute airdrop training was included in the curriculum of all the special divisions of the General Staff.
