Uzbekistan introduces visa-free regime with 7 countries

The President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of Turkey, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and Israel since February 10. Gazeta.uz reported.

Visa-free regime will apply to the crews of planes of airlines performing regular flights to the country.

The abolition of restrictions will be in effect for 30 days.

The decree also stipulates for the introduction of a simplified procedure for issuing tourist visas for 39 countries from February 10, which provides for the cancellation of the requirement to provide a tourist voucher to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an invitation from an inviting legal or physical person in Uzbekistan and a visa processing within two working days, not taking into account the day of receipt of documents. Thus, the number of countries with a simplified visa regime will increase from 15 to 51.

In addition, the decree instructs to introduce from July 1, 2018 the system of issuing electronic entry visas.
