Leader of clandestine extremist cell detained in Kyrgyzstan

A leader of an extremist cell, a citizen of one of the CIS countries, was detained in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

As noted, the detainee was internationally wanted for committed extremist crimes.

It was found out that he created and headed a clandestine cell in Kyrgyzstan. To carry out criminal activities, he used fake documents, including passport of a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, and, following the instructions of the leaders of an international terrorist organization, created a recruiting base in Fergana valley.

Currently, the detainee was handed over to representatives of the competent authorities of partner country to bring him to criminal liability.
