Energy, economy, border delimitation, security in the Central Asian region are the main issues of the negotiations between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The head of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon stated the day before.
According to him, the talks were held on the terms of mutual understanding. «Over the past 25 years, relations have acquired a positive momentum, and a reserve has been created for a mutually beneficial partnership. A substantial legal base has been accumulated. Bilateral mechanisms of interaction have been formed,» said President of Tajikistan.
«We noted the importance of constant dialogue at all levels. At the same time, the importance of the economic component was stressed. Over the past year, trade turnover has almost doubled. The issue of efficient use of water resources was discussed, as well as the implementation of CASA-1000 project. I am convinced that it will strengthen the partnership in other spheres,» Emomali Rahmon said.
In addition, the presidents paid special attention to the delimitation and demarcation of the border.
