The Prime Minister Sapar Isakov the night before decided to recommend the National Energy Holding Company to consider the job competence of the First Deputy General Director of Electric Stations OJSC Berdibek Borkoyev and the Director of Bishkek Heating and Power Plant Omurkul uulu Nurlan.
The head of government also instructed the management of Energy Holding Company to consider the issue of release of these leaders from office.
At the initiative of the emergency response team for the restoration of heat supply in Bishkek, it was decided to create an interdepartmental commission to determine the reasons for the failure of the heat supply to the city’s consumers since January 26. Officials suggested including in its composition deputies of the Parliament, representatives of relevant state bodies, power industry and independent experts.
The Prime Minister stressed that this step is a priority. Further actions to punish the guilty for negligent attitude to their duties will be taken at the end of the work of the interdepartmental commission.
The Bishkek HPP breakdown occurred on Friday, January 26. Officials of the Energy Holding and the Mayor of Bishkek assured the townspeople that the heat supply would be resumed in a short time. However, the supply of heat to the homes of citizens began on the fifth day.
