More than a third of schools in Kyrgyzstan have no access to drinking water

At least 35 percent of schools in Kyrgyzstan do not have access to clean drinking water. This was announced today at the session of the Parliament.

Deputy Maksat Sabirov asked how many schools in the republic do not have access to clean drinking water.

According to the government, there are 2,236 schools in Kyrgyzstan, 35% of schools do not have clean water, and the toilet is in the schoolyard. There are such schools also in Bishkek.

«No school will remain without water. They are included in the projects,» Deputy Prime Minister Dair Kenekeev assured.
