At least 8 traffic accidents occurred for a month during transportation of dangerous goods. The Vice Prime Minister Dair Kenekeev voiced such data at today’s session of Parliament.
Deputy Osmonbek Artykbayev emphasized that the fuel and lubricants should be transported by rail to the south in order to avoid spilling of fuel into Chychkan river, which flows into Toktogul reservoir.
Dair Kenekeev noted that this issue is being discussed with the Russian companies. «Over the past month, 8 accidents have occurred during transportation of dangerous goods. The damage is 980,000 soms,» he said.
Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Dair Kenekeev held a working meeting on the fact of the traffic accident involving a tanker truck on January 20 in Chychkan gorge, on the 264th kilometer of Bishkek-Osh road. The Vice Prime Minister instructed the state bodies to consider the possibility of delivering gasoline and diesel fuel to the south of the republic by rail and, at the same time, negotiate with Uzbekistan reduction of tariffs for the transportation of goods by rail.
