«We should not wait for investors, we need to look for them by ourselves, creating the most favorable conditions,» said the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov at a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Kyrgyzstan Veronique Hulmann. The Department for Public Relations and Mass Media of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The head of government noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland.
«We are making every effort to ensure that the country not only to follow the right track of development, but also to make a qualitative leap in improving the lives of citizens. One of the main tasks of the state in this direction is to attract investments to the country. As you know, a working visit to Switzerland is planned in the near future, where I intend to hold a number of meetings in order to attract additional investments to the Kyrgyz Republic,» Sapar Isakov said.
The Prime Minister told about the government’s plans for the near future, in particular, reforms in the sphere of taxation, public procurement and public administration.
The Ambassador Veronique Hulmann, in her turn, expressing Switzerland’s readiness for further expansion and strengthening of bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan, noted the established cooperation in many sectors.
The sides also discussed trade and economic cooperation, joint work to reform the public sector, develop the private sector, and work on management of water resources, building peace and democratization of society.
