Today, the capital’s exchange offices and commercial banks buy dollar for 69.69-69.5 soms, and sell — for 69.6-69.65. The nominal rate is set at 69,4267 soms (an increase of 0.06 percent per day).
A similar situation was observed at the end of the last week. Then dollar rose in price to 69.6 soms. This forced the National Bank for the first time since the beginning of the year to intervene and sell dollars. Its exchange rate fell by 10 tyiyns — up to 69.5-69.55 soms, but in the past two days, the U.S. currency began increasing in price again.
