The detailed route of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway will be ready by April 2018. Podrobno.uz news agency reported.
«A tripartite meeting of the delegations of the countries on the project took place in Tashkent yesterday. The heads of delegations made serious practical decisions aimed at the speedy implementation of it, and clear deadlines were defined. The next meeting will be held in April. Until then, the parties will finally form the route of the road,» Kyrgyz Ambassador to Uzbekistan Daniyar Sydykov said.
According to him, the parties agreed that in August they will develop conception on the feasibility study of the project, and before the end of the year — a vision for solving all financial issues.
«It is important that practical steps are laid here, in Tashkent. Today’s results of the meeting can be characterized by the well-known phrase «Tashkent is the city where you can find bread.» Here we made very serious decisions on the project,» the Ambassador said.
The new railway will allow transportation of goods from China through Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to the countries of Eastern Europe and the Middle East. It will become one of the shortest routes for the transport of Chinese goods to the EU.
According to the preliminary parameters of the project, the reduction of the route from East Asia to the countries of the Middle East and Southern Europe will be about 900 km, and the shipping terms will reduce by 7-8 days.
