Contract for rehabilitation of 23 streets in Bishkek signed with Chinese company

Contract on the project «Rehabilitation of roads» was signed in Bishkek. Press service of the mayor’s office informed.

The contract was signed by the Head of the Capital Construction Department Nurlan Eshenbaev and the General Director of the representative office of China Road and Bridge Corporation in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The document was signed in accordance with agreements on technical and economic cooperation between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and China on July 17, 2014 and March 26, 2015.

The contract provides for rehabilitation of 23 streets of Bishkek with a length of 38 kilometers. The irrigation system, road trays, borders, road markings and signs will be restored.

«When repairing the pavement, the old asphalt pavement will be milled. After that, the leveling layer will be laid out of a hot porous coarse-grained asphalt-concrete mixture 6 cm thick and the top layer of 5-cm-thick crushed-mastic asphalt mixture, which will be used in Bishkek for the first time,» the report says.

Within the framework of the implementation of the first phase of the Concept for the Development of the City Road Network, 49 streets with a length of 95 km, six bridges and one overpass are currently being reconstructed and rehabilitated.
