Almazbek Atambayev supports reduction of MegaCom price by 25-30 percent

Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev believes that the price for the sale of MegaCom should be reduced by 25-30 percent. He announced this at a final press conference today, answering the question about the fate of Safe City project.

«I don’t know in what state this question is now. But I know Sapar Isakov. He will never take a penny, he is brought up in a different way. Babanov, I recall, awarded dozens of people with weapons for the implementation of Safe City project. Isakov knows that the country is different now and he will have to answer. They will openly conduct everything. But it must be done. Moreover, I generally offered to sell the cellular company through direct negotiations. But the only buyer raises suspicions,» Almazbek Atambayev said.

He noted that the price of the object is too high. «It is necessary to reduce it by 25-30 percent, put it up for sale and sell it as quickly as possible,» the head of state added.

Answering the question, is it true that Safe City project will be implemented by the Chinese company Huawei, he noted that this is a respectable company.
