Kyrgyzstani detained for spreading jihad ideology in Odnoklassniki

Kyrgyzstani spread jihad ideology through social networks. He was detained by the officers of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

According to the press service of the committee, on November  20-year-old native of Kara-Suu district of Osh region, a recruit of an international terrorist organization, was detained in Bishkek.

The detention was carried out within the counter-terrorism measures to identify, prevent and suppress the subversive activities of the terrorist underground cells, as well as to suppress the channels for the departure of Kyrgyz citizens to the zone of armed conflict in  and with the purpose of subversive and combat training.

It was found out that the young man, being abroad, was recruited by international terrorist organization emissaries through social networks. Being an active user of the social network Odnoklassniki, he was engaged in spreading the jihadist ideology, posting on his wall audio and video of one of the leaders of ITO, and swore allegiance to him.

A criminal case was filed under the Article «Initiation of national, racial, religious and other hatred» of the Criminal Code of the . The detainee was placed in GKNB detention center.
