Up to 120,000 foreigners register in Kyrgyzstan annually

From 100,000 to 120,000 foreign citizens are registered in Kyrgyzstan annually. Member of the working group on the development of the Single Report on Migration in Kyrgyzstan for 2016-2017 Alexander Koak said at the 26th meeting of the Large Public Council in Bishkek.

According to him, as of August 30, 2017, 12,518 work permits were issued to foreign specialists, as well as 851 permits for engaging in individual entrepreneurial activities, representing 75 percent of the total quota (14,490) of jobs for foreign citizens.

The republican budget received 46.1 million soms as a payment for obtaining permits in 2017.

According to him, in 2017 the labor quota was allocated to representatives of 88 countries. «More than 83 percent of the quota (10,496) was allocated to Chinese citizens, 6.2 percent (771) to Turkish citizens, two percent (253) - to South Korean citizens, 1.2 percent (147) - to Vietnamese citizens, one percent - to citizens Pakistan and so on,» Alexander Koak said.
