National Bank conducts third intervention for week to hold growth of dollar

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has conducted a third intervention since the beginning of the week to hold the growth of the dollar exchange rate. This is reported on its website.

Yesterday, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic sold $ 3.1 million with calculations on the date of the transaction and $ 200,000 with calculations different from date of the transaction. Thus, for three days, the National Bank has sold $ 9.2 million on the market.

The dollar began to rise in price from last week. For seven days, it grew in price by 90 tyiyn. After four interventions by the National Bank yesterday the exchange rate of the US currency fell only by 10 tyiyn.

Today, the capital’s exchange offices and commercial banks buy the dollar for 69.65-69.7 soms, and sell- for 69.8-69.85. The nominal rate is set at 69,7496 soms.
