Yesterday, at the 21st session of the General Assembly of the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage of UNESCO, Kyrgyzstan was elected for the first time in the country’s history a member of the World Heritage Committee. The National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for UNESCO reported.
The committee includes 21 states. The organization has the exclusive right to include and exclude objects from the World Heritage List.
Kyrgyzstan will participate in the resolution of issues related to the protection, preservation and promotion of the cultural and natural heritage of mankind.
