Number of kindergartens in Kyrgyzstan increases 2.5 times in six years

Since 2011, the number of kindergartens in Kyrgyzstan has grown 2.5 times. The Minister of Education and Science Gulmira Kudaiberdieva told about this at the presentation of the project «Development of mechanisms for financing the security of the school educational environment in the Kyrgyz Republic.»

According to her, over the same period, the coverage of children with preschool education has doubled. «Today, 22 percent of children aged 3 to 5 attend  kindergartens,» the minister said.

As she noted, a big role in the construction of new preschool educational organizations is played by local authorities.
