EFSD to allocate $ 2 mln to Kyrgyzstan for Health Caravan project

The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development will allocate $ 2 million grant for the implementation of the social project Health Caravan in Kyrgyzstan. The director of the project group for financial loans of EFSD of the Eurasian Development Bank, Alisher Mirzoyev, informed 24.kg news agency.

According to him, annually 10 percent of the net profit received is directed to social projects in the countries-members of the fund. The funds are provided exclusively in the form of grants and for socially important projects. The size of the grant does not depend on the level of the country’s income.

In Kyrgyzstan, thanks to the grant of EFSD, the organization of targeted preventive examinations of the population in the mountainous and inaccessible regions of the country using mobile medical complexes will be supported.

«Two road trains Health Caravan will be purchased. Each will include three mobile medical complexes with seven medical rooms and a bus truck. The beginning of the project is the second half of 2018,» Alisher Mirzoyev told.

The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development is a regional financial institution with a capital of $ 8,513 billion. Its participants are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The Eurasian Development Bank manages the fund’s resources.
