Kyrgyzstan abolishes patrol police

The Main Directorate of the Patrol Police is abolished in Kyrgyzstan. Prime Minister Sapar Isakov announced today at an emergency meeting on traffic accidents.

According to him, the Main Directorate for Road Safety is being created and the number of staff is being increased. «I can not say how much, this is classified information,» said the head of the Cabinet.

He instructed the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to take under special control the issue of the formation of personnel and to hire through the competitive selection honest employees.

«In addition, it is necessary to introduce personal responsibility for security in the entrusted area,» Sapar Isakov said.

The patrol police was created in Kyrgyzstan in April 2016.
