Price of coal rises in all regions of Kyrgyzstan

Coal has risen in price in all regions of Kyrgyzstan, compared to 2016. The chairman of the State Committee of Industry, Energy and Mineral Resources, Ulanbek Ryskulov, said at a meeting in the government on preparations for the autumn-winter heating season.

According to him, most of all the price for solid fuel has risen in Batken region — by 42 percent.

«In Chui region, coal has risen in price by 6%, in Talas — by 19%, in Issyk-Kul — by 5%, in Bishkek — by 20%, in Osh — by 25% and in Jalal-Abad — by 9%,» Ulanbek Ryskulov said.

The cost of coal at fuel bases in the northern region varies from 1,100 to 5,500 soms per ton, in the southern region — from 2,100 to 8,500 soms.
