Pamir Kyrgyz start their studies in Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan

Ethnic Kyrgyz, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan from the Little and Great Pamir, started their studies in Naryn region. Press service of the plenipotentiary representative of the government in the region informed 24.kg news agency.

The teachers of primary A. Arbalbaev school in Kulanak village began to teach them.

It is reported that the students were divided into two groups (by age) — up to 18 years and above, they study from Monday till Friday for 2.5 hours, and on Saturdays they attend training courses.

The curriculum was specially developed by the Ministry of Education and Science.

Some of the students can read and write in Farsi, in general new students are good in learning the material, the teachers note.

In addition, younger schoolchildren are to be trained in ordinary school.

Recall, on October 11, an expedition organized by the Kyrgyz government brought six families of ethnic Kyrgyz from the Pamirs (Afghanistan) to teach their children. The Naryn regional administration organized their placement and created all the conditions for learning and living.
