Government explains why housing for teachers, doctors not built in Kyrgyzstan

First Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Tolkunbek Abdygulov told the members of the Committee on Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Parliament why housing for teachers and doctors is not built in the republic.

 Deputy Elvira Surabaldieva raised the issue of provision of doctors, teachers, graduates of orphanages with housing. She noted that orphans are left to themselves. They are not provided with apartments or dormitories. The state allocates apartments only to employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, State National Security Committee, judges.

 Tolkubek Abdygulov explained that the government had developed a state mortgage program specially for doctors and teachers. They can get housing at preferential rates of lending.
