Kyrgyzstani becomes world champion in pankration

Kyrgyzstani won the World Pankration Championship. Pankration Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

As noted, the competition began on October 27 in Sochi (Russia). It gathered over 300 athletes from 22 countries. Cadets and juniors were the first to compete. Kyrgyzstanis won gold and two bronze medals.

Alymbek Temirov (19 years old), who performed in the weight category over 75 kilograms, took the highest step of the podium. Azamat uulu Arseniy (19 years old) in weight 66 kg became the third. Bayaman Mamataliev (17 years old) also took the third place in the same weight.

The championship will continue on October 28-29.
