MFA of Kazakhstan comments on rally at Embassy in Bishkek

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan commented on the rally at the Embassy in Bishkek. Informburo.kz reported.

The Kyrgyz public is not properly informed about the situation on the border between the two countries, MFA of Kazakhstan noted. «Today, at about 10.30 a picket with the participation of 20-25 people took place at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Bishkek. Participants of the rally handed over the embassy staff a petition to the Kazakh leadership about the situation on the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border,» the ministry noted.

The message says that the agreement of the heads of government of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan reached at the meeting on October 18 in Astana is being observed. According to it, the priority order of crossing the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border for individuals with personal baggage, regular passenger buses, cars, empty cargo vehicles is ensured.

«Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev during the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on October 25 in Yerevan gave an exhaustive answer on the reasons for introducing tightened control of goods along the entire perimeter of the state border by Kazakhstan,» the Foreign Affairs Ministry added.
