Road map of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan not signed. Negotiations continue

Within the framework of the working visit to Yerevan (Armenia), the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov met on October 24 with his Kazakh counterpart Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz government, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. However, the planned signing of the road map did not take place. Negotiations will continue today, on October 25. Experts of the two countries are finalizing the document.

The road map will regulate many issues related to the execution by the parties of transport, veterinary, phytosanitary control at the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan border.

The issue of denunciation of an agreement on grant assistance of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of $ 100 million was not raised at the meeting.

Recall, on October 18, the head of the Kyrgyz government Sapar Isakov during meetings with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev in a narrow and extended format considered issues related to border, transport, phytosanitary and veterinary control, customs and tax administration, taking into account relevant norms and rules of EEU and WTO. However, the situation on the border was not settled by the parties. Kilometers-long line of heavy trucks formed at Ak-Tilek checkpoint.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers will take part in the meeting of the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union today.
