New substation of Center for Emergency Medical Care opened in Bishkek

New substation No. 4 of the capital’s Center for Emergency Medical Care was opened in the renovated building of the former children’s tuberculosis hospital in Bishkek.

With the opening of the new substation, which serves «Zapadniy» area and Manas settlement, medical care has become closer to patients. Previously, the station was in Osh market area, where tight traffic was holding back the speed. Now there was an opportunity to react quickly to calls. The mayor of the city, Albek Ibraimov, noted this in his speech.

«If earlier the ambulance came to the call in 20-30 minutes, today the time has decreased to 5-15 minutes,» he said. «3,600,000 soms have been spent from the city budget on the substation, on the purchase of furniture — 481,000 soms. And all communications are laid to this building.»

The substation is equipped with nine ambulances; it has separate rest rooms for teams of doctors and drivers. The number of cars is planned to be increased to twenty. The staff of the substation No. 4 of the Center for Emergency Medical Care is 35 people per shift, including several brigades and drivers.
