Elections 2017. CEC ready to announce results on October 28

The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan is ready to announce the results of presidential elections in the coming days — on October 27-28. Member of the commission Kairat Osmonaliev informed 24.kg news agency.

According to him, the day before the reception of protocols from all TECs was completed. «But we still have time for summarizing and announcing the results. If there are no trials to appeal our previous decisions, then we will announce the results at the end of the week. Under the law, we have time until November 4,» Kairat Osmonaliev told.

He added that voting results should be published in the media in three days after the official announcement. The inauguration of the new head of the state should take place under the law within 30 calendar days.

Kairat Osmonaliev stressed that the cancellation of the results at several polling stations would not influence the final result. All materials on violations were submitted to law enforcement agencies.

The presidential elections were held in Kyrgyzstan on October 15. According to preliminary data, Soboronbai Jeenbekov, a candidate from SDPK, won the majority of votes.
