The court of Jalal-Abad city sentenced a 18-year-old, who was preparing a terrorist attack, to 8 years in prison. Court’s decision says.
The criminal case was opened after the search in the defendant’s house, where GKNB officers seized an F-1 grenade without a fuse, F-1 with a fuse, a VOG-25P grenade, more than two kilograms of saltpeter, and 67 different ammunition cartridges. In the phone of the defendant, experts found extremist video materials, symbols and attributes of terrorist organizations.
The expert, who carried out the religious and linguistic expertise, found out that the materials found in the mobile phone contain a call for interethnic and interreligious strife. They propagandize the ideas of the terrorist organization Islamic State.
The investigators confirmed that the detainee was preparing for the terrorist attack and was trying to make an improvised explosive device.
The defendant was found guilty. Lawyers intend to appeal the decision in a higher court.
