China’s mission recognized the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan as valid and transparent. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, Hong Jiuyin told today at a press conference.
According to him, the mission of observers from China visited eight polling stations on the voting day. It was noted that normative-legal documents related to the electoral process and information on presidential candidates were published at all of them. The media widely covered the course of the election campaign and voting.
«We believe that the presidential elections held on October 15 meet the requirements of Kyrgyzstan’s legislation and generally accepted international norms. The voting process took place in a calm atmosphere. Serious violations have not been registered. We believe that the elections are legitimate, democratic and transparent,» Hong Jiuyin summed up.
