Interior Ministry: No violations registered at polling stations in Kyrgyzstan

No violations were registered at polling stations in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told 24.kg news agency.

According to it, separate illegal actions outside the polling stations are being considered at the time.

«Police officers do not have the right to interfere in the work of members of precinct election commissions, but they control public safety at all polling stations. Since October 12, we have switched to strengthened security regime,» the agency noted.

About 10,000 police officers are involved in keeping public order and security along with about 12,000 members of voluntary people’s patrol.

Presidential elections are held in Kyrgyzstan today.
