Kyrgyz Government insists-conversation between Isakov, Nazarbayev took place

The Government of Kyrgyzstan gave explanations regarding the statement of the Government of Kazakhstan that the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, didn’t give instructions on removing tension on the border between the two countries.

According to the Information Support Department of the Government of Kyrgyzstan, the message posted on a personal page in Facebook indicated that the Prime Minister Sapar Isakov spoke with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev about the situation at the checkpoints.

It was not full-fledged bilateral talks. During the conversation, Nursultan Nazarbayev showed understanding and noted that he will give the appropriate instruction to remove all the issues that had been raised.

After the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in a narrow format, Sapar Isakov, in the presence of other participants, expressed his gratitude to the head of Kazakhstan for prompt and positive resolution of the issue. In response, President Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the constant readiness to assist the Kyrgyz people and the development of bilateral relations, the report said.

Informing the public about this fact, the head of the government of Kyrgyzstan proceeded from the content of the conversation with the leader of Kazakhstan and the achieved understanding with the Kazakh side about the need for an early resolution of the situation on the border.

Department of Information Support of the Government's Executive Office of Kyrgyzstan expresses confidence that the Kazakh side will complete its planned border operation as soon as possible, and the work of the checkpoints will return to normal mode, the report said.
