Diaspora asks not to sling mud at presidents of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

«Negative information appears in social networks and the media about the presidents of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, it is necessary to stop it,» Chairman of the Kazakh Diaspora in the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Toktouchikov said at a press conference today.

«We need to talk about dialogue, peace and harmony. Only friendship awaits us, and we will never allow two people to have a bad relationship. We have one future,» he said.

«From time immemorial, our peoples lived side by side in peace and harmony. We have one story, together we experienced all the hardships, wars, helping each other. Our ancestors left us fraternal and kinship relations between Kyrgyz and Kazakhs. Unique relations between our peoples should be preserved and further developed,» Marat Toktouchikov said.

Historically, it turned out that a huge number of Kazakhs had to move to the territory of present-day Kyrgyzstan. Hundreds of thousands of Kazakhs found their second homeland in the Kyrgyz Republic, where we live and work on an equal footing with the Kyrgyz.

«Our economy is also connected: we have common railways, automobile routes that feed small and medium businesses. The huge investments from the RK are pouring in, dozens of large budget-forming enterprises are opened due to direct investments of Kazakhstan. Grants are allocated, schools are being built,» he added.

«In view of the strengthening of the regime, a large queue of ordinary citizens is on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border, children, the elderly and the disabled are standing in lines. Many go to Kazakhstan because of related ties, weddings, funerals, and funeral repasts. There are many ethnic Kazakhs among them who live in the Kyrgyz Republic. The Kazakh diaspora calls on the competent authorities of both countries to pay attention to the difficulties that have arisen and to solve them for ordinary citizens,» Marat Toktouchikov said.
