The most difficult steps towards increasing the effectiveness of CIS have been done. The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov said this the day before at a meeting of CIS Council of Heads of State.
According to him,
We stand for strengthening the integration of CIS member states and increasing interaction in a multidimensional format. We came to a common opinion on the need to unite our efforts in improving the activities of the Commonwealth. At the same time, we adhered to a balanced and pragmatic approach to the issues of CIS reforming.

«The steps made to minimize expenditures taking into account the real transfer of the countries’ contributions are very important. To this end, the activities of the Economic Court of CIS have been changed into ad hoc format and the number of its staff has been reduced,» the Prime Minister explained.
The first, the most difficult steps towards increasing the effectiveness of the CIS activities have been made. We believe that this process should be permanent and continuous, which will create the necessary conditions for further effective operation of the commonwealth.

«At the same time, we consider it important to pay attention to increasing the effectiveness of the work of the bodies of sectoral cooperation, which will yield practical results in the social and economic sphere. In this regard, the Kyrgyz side considers it expedient to conduct an analysis of their activities, on the basis of which it would be possible to take decisions on the abolition or merging of duplicating structures having similar functions and tasks,» Sapar Isakov said.
