Border Service of Kazakhstan says no restrictions imposed on border

There are no queues at Kordai checkpoint on the border with Kyrgyzstan at the time and there are no restrictions on passage of people. Kazakh media reported with reference to the duty border guard from the Kazakh side.

«The Border Service has switched to high security regime, but it is working. Cars are being passed. There are queues from the Kazakh side of the border in the morning, but now the situation is normal on both sides of the border,» the duty border guard said.

He added that Kazakhstan’s Border Service has switched to high security regime of service, which will be in force until a special order.

Recall, there is a large number of passenger traffic, cargo and vehicles at the border since yesterday evening. Eyewitnesses share photos and videos in social networks.
