Migrants transfer more than $ 1.5 billion to Kyrgyzstan for 8 months

For eight months, migrants have transferred $ 1,581.1 billion to Kyrgyzstan. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic presented such data.

It is reported that in August the inflow of remittances amounted to $ 262 million. At the same time, the main part of the amount is money transfers from Russia — $ 257.4 million. In January-August 2017, $ 1,552.2 billion have been transferred from this country to Kyrgyzstan.

Compared to the same period of last year, remittances increased by $ 320 million, or 20.3 percent.

At the same time, $ 42.7 million were transferred from Kyrgyzstan to other countries in August. Since the beginning of the year, the outflow of remittances from the country has formed in the amount of $ 271.9 million. Thus, the net inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan is estimated at $1,205.5 billion.
