Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan sign contracts for $ 200 million

In the framework of the business forum «Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan» in Tashkent, contracts for the supply of products for a total amount of more than $ 200 million were signed, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Agreements have been signed on the joint assembly of buses, the production of agricultural machinery, the assembly of washing machines, the organization of dealer centers, the supply of cable products, the construction of a shopping and entertainment center in Osh and a branch of the technical school «Artel» in Kyrgyzstan.

«Memorandums of cooperation have been signed between automobile contruction companies, unions of jewelers of the two countries. Agreements have been concluded on the supply of tires, water, honey, vegetable oil, natural stone and travertine to Uzbekistan,» the press service of the ministry reported.

It is specified that more than 500 businessmen from two countries, representatives of ministries and departments, heads of trade, investment and industrial companies took part in the business forum.

«The forum focused on increasing trade between countries, studying needs and conducting market research of Kyrgyz and Uzbek markets. Priority directions for further mutually beneficial cooperation and partnership have been identified,» the message says.
