The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan accepted the statement of presidential candidate Bakyt Torobayev on refusal to participate in the elections.
Leader of Onuguu-Progress party Bakyt Torobayev withdrew his candidacy from the presidential race in favor of another candidate- Omurbek Babanov. The politician made a statement about this at a meeting with residents of Kochkor-Ata town, Jalal-Abad region, on October 6.
Earlier, other candidate — Kamchybek Tashiev — pulled out of the race at his own request.
