Sapar Isakov meets with Grand Mufti of Russia Ravil Gaynutdin

Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov visited the Cathedral Mosque in Moscow, where he met with the Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gaynutdin. The meeting took place within the framework of the official visit of the head of the Cabinet in Russia.

Ravil Gaynutdin stressed the continuity and permanence of friendly, brotherly relations between the two countries and peoples throughout the centuries.

«I am grateful that you have included in the program of your visit a visit to the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. In the eyes of Muslims of both countries, this emphasizes the unity of spiritual space. This is your great contribution to the development of bilateral Russian-Kyrgyz relations,» Ravil Gaynutdin said.

Sapar Isakov noted that the efforts of the mufti to revive spirituality, establish stability will be appreciated not only by advanced contemporaries, but also by subsequent generations. «Serving the people, fulfilling your duty, you will remain in the history of Russia and in the history of our fraternal countries,» the Prime Minister stressed.

«I am your coreligionist, your elder brother and will always be in prayer for your success in serving the people, in praying for the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan,» the Mufti said.

«Next year, the third cycle of the International Scientific and Theological Conference Spiritual Silk Road will take place at the suggestion of the Chairman of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek. We will support the project,» Sapar Isakov concluded.
