Sapar Isakov promises - relations with Russia not to change

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov promised that relations with Russia would not change with his appointment. He stated this today at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.

According to him, today Kyrgyz-Russian relations have reached a new and higher quality level thanks to the efforts made by the Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev. He also noted the direct contribution of Dmitry Medvedev to good relations between the two countries.

Today we can confidently say that truly strategic and allied relations are present in our affairs.

Sapar Isakov

«The President of our country, Almazbek Atambayev, sends his greetings to you. I would like to emphasize that our government is taking all measures to implement the agreements reached during the state visit of the head of Kyrgyzstan to Russia. We attach great importance to the prospects of our bilateral relations. You noted that our government should continue following the path taken. I express readiness and I say that we will make further efforts to strengthen relations between our countries,» Sapar Isakov said.

Then the dialogue between the two Prime Ministers continued without participation of the press. It is expected that the heads of government will talk tete-a-tete for an hour. Then negotiations will continue in an expanded format, but also behind closed doors.
