Kyrgyz-Uzbek border treaty: MPs argue how to discuss document

The ratification of the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border, signed in Bishkek on September 5, 2017, will be considered today in Parliament in the second reading.

The opinions of the deputies divided. There was a proposal to discuss the issue in an open mode, since «closed considering raises a lot of questions». However, some of the deputies supported the discussion behind closed doors.

The treaty was ratified earlier in the first reading. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited his colleague Almazbek Atambayev to visit Uzbekistan. The parties can sign the final agreement on the border.
