More than 12 tons of drugs and precursors seized in KR since beginning of 2017

12, 068, 725 tons of narcotic substances were seized from illegal circulation in Kyrgyzstan for 8 months. Such information was provided to 24.kg the news agency by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is more than 21 kg of opium, 62.7 kg of heroin, more than 371 kg of hashish, over 545 kg of marijuana, more than 9, 831 tons of cannabis and over 1, 174 tons of precursors.

According to the Service for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, for 8 months of 2017, all law enforcement agencies detected 967 drug crimes.

On suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking, more than 730 people were detained,  more than 20 of whom are women.
