Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan calls on DPRK to abandon nuclear tests

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev expressed deep concern over the nuclear test conducted on September 3 by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and also urged the DPRK to immediately abandon any further tests and join the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to it, yesterday in New York, in the framework of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, a conference of states ratifying the treaty was held.

In his speech, Erlan Abdyldaev noted that Kyrgyzstan is committed to the goals of global disarmament and the prevention of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and is an active supporter of a world free of nuclear weapons.
