Almazbek Atambayev awards Secretary-General of United Nations Dostuk Order

Almazbek Atambayev has awarded the Secretary-General of the organization Antonio Guterres the Order «Dostuk» for his significant contribution to strengthening cooperation between and the United Nations. This was reported by the Information Policy Department of the President’s Office.

According to it, yesterady, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev met with Antonio Guterres in the framework of participation in the 72^nd session of the UN General Assembly.

The Head of State thanked the UN system and personally the Secretary-General for the support provided to the country.

Antonio Guterres remembered with warmth his visit to , noting that the UN highly appreciates relations with the country, which is an important partner of the United Nations and in many respects — an example for many countries of the world.

At the meeting, issues of cooperation between and the UN system were discussed.
