Track and field athlete Gulshana Satarova wins silver at Asian Games

Track and field athlete Gulshana Satarova won silver at the Asian indoor games and martial arts events in Ashgabat, the official site of the competition is reported.

Today, within the framework of the Asian Games, the women’s final race for 1,500 meters was held. Nine participants from six countries started, including two Kyrgyzstanis — Gulshana Satarova and Arina Kleshchukova. The first place was taken by the representative of India Unnikrishnan Palakizh (4 minutes 27.77 seconds). Satarov (4 minutes 31.64 seconds) became the second, and Kleshchukova (4 minutes 34.16 seconds) — the third.

These are the first medals of our athletes in this Asian Games. The KR asset on these games includes 15 awards: gold, four silver and 10 bronze.
