RusHydro has not set deadlines for payment of $ 37 million so far

RusHydro has not so far set a specific deadline for the payment of $ 37 million for the construction of the Upper Naryn cascade of HPPs. The Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Duishenbek Zilaliev said today at a meeting with journalists.

According to him, if Liglass Trading does not pay a certain amount and the agreement is terminated, the government of Kyrgyzstan will not stand still.

«We will hold a tender again. RusHydro does not set a deadline, but it can. They can go to court. This is quite real. It should be noted that the state has not suffered any damage from concluding the deal with Liglass Trading,» Duishenbek Zilaliev said.

Recall, the government of Kyrgyzstan and Liglass Trading signed an agreement on the construction and commissioning of Ak-Bulun hydropower station and Naryn HPP-1 of the Upper Naryn cascade. The same company won the tender for the construction of ten small HPPs. The government, at the time, voices different terms for payment of $ 37 million by Liglass Trading company for the redemption of 50 percent of shares in Upper Naryn HPPs CJSC. This is exactly the amount Kyrgyzstan should return to the Russian company RusHydro, which is already preparing to file a claim to international arbitration.
